On the occasion of Freedom, the anniversary of the elections on June 4, 1989 - The President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, presented state awards to people actively managing Polish freedom in various areas of life: culture, business, and science. The creators of IVONA Text-to-Speech, Łukasz Osowski and Michał Kaszczuk, received awards for outstanding contribution to the development of Polish entrepreneurship, and for achievements in the promotion of Polish technical thought, respectively.

IVONA Software, an Amazon company, announced that it is extending its award-winning Text-to-Speech (TTS) software into the Voice User Interface (VUI) market for Android devices. IVONA Android OEM TTS is now available in reduced footprints (~ 150 MB and 60-80 MB). It can be easily pre-installed as the default TTS engine on Android devices.
