In 2010 IVONA Software signed a financial support agreement for a project co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund entitled "Development and implementation of technology for semi-automatic speech synthesis IVONA Poliglota". The project received financial support from Measure 1.4-4.1 of the Innovative Economy Operational Programme (IEOP). The project was initiated on July 1st, 2010, and on June 30th, 2013 the beneficiary finished the period of costs’ eligibility edits for Phase II, which consists of commercialization of the project technology.
IVONA Software Sp. z o.o. develops, markets, and supports IVONA, its highly awarded, proprietary speech synthesis technology. Business activities include R&D as well as commercialization of the technology.
The aim of the project "Development and implementation of technology for semi-automatic speech synthesis IVONA Poliglota" is to increase the level of innovation in the Company. This will take place through development of software for rapid creation of new language versions of the IVONA speech synthesizer (Rapid Voice Development). The implementation of new language versions on the global market is also included. Furthermore, this project involves the development of speech technology used for rapid creation of new voices and languages, through the execution of the planned development and implementation of new language versions on the market by their preparation for commercialization.
