In 2010 IVONA Software signed a financial support agreement for a project co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund entitled "Development and implementation of technology for semi-automatic speech synthesis IVONA Poliglota". The project received financial support from Measure 1.4-4.1 of the Innovative Economy Operational Programme (IEOP). The beneficiary is presently conducting the research and development phase of the project. The project was initiated on July 1st, 2010, and completion is planned for December 31st, 2012.

IVONA Software Sp. z o.o. develops, markets, and supports IVONA, its highly awarded, proprietary speech synthesis technology. Business activities include R&D as well as commercialization of the technology.

The aim of the project "Development and implementation of technology for semi-automatic speech synthesis IVONA Poliglota" is to increase the level of innovation in the Company through development of software for rapid creation of new language versions of the IVONA speech synthesiser, as well as implementation of 10 language versions on the global market, including five European and five Asian languages.
