Free text reader IVONA Player
IVONA Player is a handy and user-friendly compact text reader which uses IVONA voices to read and listen selected texts in any application. It is a practical and functional addition to IVONA Voices - always visible on your screen and ready to read the text you choose. IVONA Player features all the most important functions of a text reader and is very useful due to its miniaturized interface.
It is an excellent tool for voicing:
- information available on web-sites,
- e-mailis,
- articles from electronic newspapers,
- text documents in formats supported by Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or even Adobe Reader.
PC, Intel Pentium 1 GHz processor, RAM 512 MB, System Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, disk space 70 - 300 MB (depending on selected voice), sound card.
Starting the application
IVONA Player can be started in two ways:
- Using the Start menu:
Start » All programs » IVONA » IVONA Player, - Using the system tray menu shortcut.
How it works
Free text reader IVONA Player will allow you to voice texts originating from literally any source, from the system Notepad to the Google Chrome web browser, including even Microsoft Excel.
All you have to do in order to voice a text is:
- run IVONA Player,
- select a text in any open program (e.g. in Firefox),
- click the Play button (or hot key CTRL+SHIFT+Space).
Interface options
IVONA Player has two interface modes- Full and Mini. You can switch between the above presented modes by clicking Show and Hide buttons.
