IVO Software experts have been setting the text-to-speech technology standards for four years already. IVONA text-to-speech has recently been awarded top grades for its quality at the international Blizzard Challenge Competition held in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our-text-to-speech has also won recognition at the SpeechTEK Labs Conference in New York, US.
From 13 to 15 November 2008 in Brussels, the capital of the European Union, the 57th new technologies and research trade fair Brussels Innova 2008 took place. In the Eureka! innovations competition held among exhibitors the Pomeranian Region was represented by the IVONA Text-To-Speech - a product of IVO Software. IVONA aroused a great deal of interest among visitors and exhibitors, and also attracted the recognition of the jury, which awarded IVONA the bronze medal.
IVONA Text To Speech System, developed by IVO Software, received one of the highest scores for voice quality at the prestigious scientific event Blizzard Challenge 2007. Many of the best university centers in the world and companies involved in text-to-speech technologies took part in the Challenge.
IVONA TTS received the title of „The Top Pomeranian Product 2007”. The local authorities appreciated Ivona for being the best representative of the whole region. During the prize-giving ceremony everyone could have visit a special stall of IVO Software, where the new product The Expressivo - Your personal text reader was proudly presented. In the opinion of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship - Mr Jan Kozłowski: “Expressivo is able to compete with international products of it's range.”
On the 15th of March, during a special ceremony, at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, IVO Software received the CENT FOR FUTURE award. The competition, organized by “Polish Market” magazine in partnership with the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Economy and the Minister for Regional Development. IVONA TTS got the statue for being a “Product with a Future”.
For creating IVONA our company won a prize "Traveler Discovery Of The Year 2006" organized by National Geographic. This is second victory of IVONA TTS after prestigious Blizzard Challenge 2006 award.
But what really makes us happy is the fact that IVONA TTS was accessed to the contest by his users - for Ivo Software to make clients satisfied is the main purpose.
The presidents of IVO Software Łukasz Osowski i Michał Kaszczuk received a title of "Entrepreneur Of The Year 2006 Ernst&Young" in "The New Business"category, for joining science with business skillfully. The jury decided to distinguish Ivo Software for being competitive for the worldwide solutions and for the innovative attitude which is an example for other young polish entrepreneurs.
We are glad to inform You that IVO Software activity for supporting rehabilitation of blind and short-sighted people was distinguished on The International Remedial Fair i Łódź.
The jury awarded IVONA TTS - version for visually impaired, with voice "Ewa" and "Jacek" in category of "Helping Resources for Disabled People".
The IVONA human text-to-speech software - designed by IVO Software, was recognized by the world's most famous experts as the best!
The Blizzard Challenge is organized by one of the world's most famous university centres - the Carnegie Mellon University from USA. The official results of the challenge were announced during the world's biggest conference on text-to-speech - Interspeech 2006 held September 16-21 2006 in Pittsburg.
Michał Kaszczuk and Łukasz Osowski, the founders of IVO Software have been announced the winners of the first Polish edition of the Microentrepreneurship of the year 2005 competition which has been organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Leopold Kronenberg Foundation (the Citigroup Foundation). The prize-winners have been nominated by the Pomeranian Technology Science & Technology Park.
